What is a Minor Eye Conditions 
Service (MECS)?

At James Bryan Opticians we are on hand
to help you with any minor eye problems you may have.
 
Our Minor Eye Condition Service also known as MECS starts with a brief triage before treatment is provided.

It is an NHS service provided by accredited optometrists
(also commonly called opticians).

Who can use this service?

Minor eye conditions can affect people of all ages. 
Please be advised that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You do not need a GP referral to use this service.
