WHAT TO EXPECT IN AN EYE TEST
Your eye examination typically lasts between 30 and 40 minutes. This examination may be funded privately or by the NHS. Ask one of our team regarding your eligibility for an NHS eye examination.
Our experienced optometrist will guide you through a series of simple tests to check the health of your eyes and your vision using the latest optical equipment.
None of these tests are painful or difficult and we even have specialised eye exams suitable for children - even those not old enough to read yet.
You have the option of including an OCT scan as part of your eye test. This state-of-the-art machine quickly and easily takes an advanced image of your retina to provide an in-depth picture of the health of your eyes.

Our tests assess more than just your vision; they are vital in monitoring the health of your eyes and can indicate serious and potentially sight-threatening conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
For children, a regular eye examination can detect any changes to their vision before they become a problem. A child will often not complain about their vision as they do not realise what is ‘normal’. Poor eyesight can lead to problems at school and socially, so it’s always better to contact us for an eye test for your child if you ever have any questions or concerns.
